All O&O's professional staff has experience in strategy development, market and competitor analysis, financial analysis and commercial deal support. They come from a variety of backgrounds in economics, strategy, marketing and policy making. Here are the profiles of O&O's senior team:
Mark Oliver – Chief Executive
Mark founded O&O in 1995 having previously been the BBC's first Head of Strategy from 1989 to 1995. Mark directly advises a number of media and entertainment company CEOs, private equity investors and regulatory agencies on strategy, policy and finance and takes a lead role in developing the knowledge and expertise of O&O.
Mark has advised on most of the major developments in the media, entertainment and sports sectors over the last decade including FA Premier League rights auctions, competitive battles in the UK pay TV sector, free to air TV mergers and acquisitions in the UK and continental Europe, the emergence of the UEFA Champions League, BBC Charter and licence fee reviews, Ofcom reviews of public service broadcasting, the growth and global expansion of the UK TV content creation sector, the development of e-commerce and internet betting and the restructuring of the UK radio sector.
Mark has authored articles and reports on a number of media and entertainment industry issues and is Europe’s leading expert on the economics of the TV, sport and the content creation sectors. He is often quoted and interviewed in the national press and on national TV and radio, as well as giving occasional keynote presentations at industry conferences and seminars.
Mark has been adviser to the Number 10 Policy Unit and the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. He began his career working as an adviser
on regulation, privatisation, strategy and finance at NERA Inc and then Deloitte, Haskins and Sells (now part of PwC in the UK). He has a BA from Hertford College, Oxford.

Sean McGuire – Managing Director
Sean is in charge of all O&O Advisory project work for clients and manages O&O’s team of consultants and associates. Since joining O&O in 2006 Sean has led a number of significant assignments ranging from an assessment of UHF spectrum use across Europe to opportunities in the global TV production market and an analysis of the global children’s TV sector. Sean has also led many of O&O’s commercial due diligence projects covering companies in free to air TV, sports rights and TV production.
Sean McGuire joined O&O from strategy consultants LEK where he managed many of their media, entertainment and telecoms sector assignments in the UK and Europe for leading corporations, regulators and private equity groups.
Prior to LEK, Sean was Director of Strategic Planning at Telewest Communications plc (now part of Virgin Media), and before that was Head of Strategy at BBC News.
Sean has an MA in Engineering and Management Studies from Trinity Hall, Cambridge, and an MBA from INSEAD.

Victoria Flemington – Commercial Director
Victoria joined O&O in 1997 and heads up the financial, administration, marketing and contracting activities at O&O across O&O Advisory,
O&O Performance and O&O Trends, as well as advising a range of clients on publishing, intellectual property and licensing
issues. Victoria takes a lead role in O&O interview work. She has over 15 years experience in B2B publishing and marketing
and has a BA from Kings College, London.

Alan Ogston – Senior Consultant
Alan joined O&O in 2008 from Deloitte’s Strategy Consulting practice, where he worked for five years leading strategy and operational transformation engagements for a range of media and telecoms sector clients. Prior to joining Deloitte in 2002, Alan was a Senior Consultant with Andersen Business Consulting, specialising in online strategy development and execution for corporate and start-up businesses.
Specific examples of Alan’s experience include: developing new operating models for post production at a large UK broadcaster; strategy development and leading operational change for a leading UK publisher; advising on data services strategy for a mobile VNO; and leading the long-term strategic planning activities for a leading UK telecoms/media provider. Alan takes a leading role in O&O assignments covering new media content, mobile developments, advertising and transactions media and print and publishing.
Alan has a BEng in Engineering, Business Management and European Studies from the University of Strathclyde.

David Cockram – Senior Consultant
David takes a leading role in O&O assignments covering consumer technology, broadband distribution, on demand TV and software applications. He also leads much of O&O’s scenario modelling work. Since joining O&O in 2007 David has worked on a large number of projects including an assessment of the future of DAB in the UK, UK TV scenario development for Ofcom’s PSB review, reviewing the prospects for regional/local advertising in the UK and assessing likely on demand TV business models.
David previously worked in market analysis and business development at NDS Group plc – the leading global TV encryption provider. Prior to joining NDS in 2003, David was an analyst at Datamonitor plc (now part of Informa plc) as part of their interactive TV research team.
David has an MA from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University.

Theresa Vimmerslev – Knowledge Strategist
Theresa joined O&O in 2001 and has worked on projects covering TV production, film distribution, sport rights, radio broadcasting, consumer magazines and TV broadcasting in the UK and continental Europe. Theresa has also worked on a large number of commercial due diligence projects covering companies in sports rights distribution, TV production and radio.
In 2009, Theresa took on the new role of Knowledge Strategist combining project work with responsibility for developing O&O's growing array of information sources, trend databases and sector models and forecasts.
Theresa has an MBA with distinction from the European Management School (ESCP-EAP) and speaks seven European languages.

Godfrey McFall – Senior Associate
Godfrey joined O&O in 2006 and has since worked on projects covering global TV production opportunities, global TV library exploitation opportunities, UK radio strategy development, UK TV advertising economics and the impact of regulatory change, online music opportunities and the prospects for UK search and directory advertising.
Godfrey has a first class degree in Economics from St. Andrews University.

Christopher Jung – Senior Associate
Chris is O&O's lead quantitative analyst, responsible for building O&O strategic options,
company and industry models as well as conducting regression analysis and sophisticated
consumer research data analysis and interpretation. Chris joined O&O in 2008 having previously
worked for operations, supply logistics and quantitative decisions consultancies operating in
the mobile telecoms, manufacturing and leisure sectors. He has a degree in Mathematics and
Economics from the LSE, and an MSc in Applicable Mathematics, also from the LSE. He is fluent
in French, German and Spanish.
