We work with rights holders or potential buyers to assess the value of a property and to ensure a fair valuation is achieved. Recent assignments include:

  • An assessment of the UEFA Champions & Europa League media rights for a major pay TV provider. To produce the valuation, we assessed the dynamics in key markets, pricing strategies, regulation, and the rights renewal timetable. This was supported by in-depth consumer research gauging the properties’ relative importance to consumers and the client's offering

  • A valuation of a major TV strand for a global independent production company to support rights renewal negotiations. We conducted a market landscape review analysing current market dynamics, supported by consumer research to understand the strand’s value to various broadcast partners

We guide rights holders or potential buyers through rights auctions & bidding processes, to ensure the best deal is secured. Recent assignments include:

  • Supporting a soccer league through the auction for its domestic broadcast rights. We conducted a rights valuation to help understand the property’s position in the market and importance to broadcasters. This underpinned our strategic go-to-market advice and led to a significant uplift in value in a static market

  • Supporting a national soccer federation with the domestic broadcast rights auction of its national team and club competitions. We conducted a detailed rights valuation, ultimately achieving a fifty per cent increase in rights value


pricing & positioning

We help our clients assess the potential impact of launching new services, changing consumer offerings and repositioning. Recent assignments include:

  • An assessment of a potential new product launch across multiple territories for a global audio streaming platform. We conducted a review of the audio streaming landscape in each market as well as audio consumption trends and habits. This was supported by extensive consumer research and modelling to discover the optimal product strategy

  • A market impact assessment of launching a new PSB audio platform combining radio, music streaming and podcasts. We conducted a review of the UK audio market, supported by consumer research and detailed financial modelling which enabled us to quantify the likely impact of the new service under different scenarios
